Why we need your Donations

 

We are entirely self funded and receive no financial support from Government or The Church of England.  It costs us £200 per day to meet all our costs and maintain this wonderful Grade II* listed Church.

 

It would be easy to take its future for granted, but we aim to preserve this place of worship for generations to come.  To help meet our costs our group of volunteers strive to keep our Church open to visitors throughout the day.

 

However you give, whatever you give, we promise to use it wisely to care for our Church.

 

How to Donate

One-off Gifts

 

There are different ways you can donate:

 

  • By sending a cheque payable to 'Woodchurch PCC' to the Parish Office.
     

  • Online via BACs to the following:
    Name: PCC of Woodchurch (Parochial Church Council of Woodchurch)
    Sort code: 20-50-36
    Account Number: 40690961
     

  • If you pay income tax or capital gains tax and complete our Gift Aid Declaration Form here then the tax man will pay Holy Cross Church back the tax you have already paid on your donation.
     

  • Finally, you could come to the Church and put money in our donations box, as many visitors so generously do already.

Regular Giving

 

For regular donations, then the Bank Mandate Form is a simple way to instruct your Bank to pay money into the Holy Cross Parish Church's bank account.  Please download here and print this form and fill in all the requested details.  When completed, please give it to your Bank to process on our behalf.

 

  • You may cancel any time
     

  • If you give by this method already then this is the way to INCREASE or DECREASE your gift because a new Standing Order Mandate cancels a previous one.

Other Ways to Help

Online Shopping

 

In addition, it is now possible for people to support our fundraising initiatives simply by shopping online using easyfundraising.org.uk.  Click here to help us raise funds.

 

There are over 2,700 retailers registered with the site, who will donate a percentage of what you spend to Holy Cross Church to say thank you for shopping with them.  Here's how it works:

 

  • Sign up - go to the link to sign up.

  • Shop - on the fundraising website seach for the retailer you would like to shop with and click through to the retailer to make your purchase.  This tells the retailer you came from easyfunding.  The price is exactly the same as if you had visited the retailer directly.

  • Get a donation - after you have made your purchase, the retailer will give you a cash reward that easyfundraising turn into a donation for Holy Cross Church, Woodchurch.  No cost, no catch!

Using the easyfunding website will not cost you a penny.  There are no catches or hidden charges and the Church will benefit from any donations you make once registered.
